Yoshiko & Yuriko 2011

In 1924 (Taisho 13) Yoshiko worked as an editor for a magazine while studying Russian. A famous female writer introduced Yuriko to Yoshiko. Yuriko was a popular grass-roots writer. Her first writings were published at the age of 17, and became critically acclaimed by Japanese society. While she was studying in New York at the age of 19, she married a scholar, Shigeru, fifteen years her senior. When Yuriko meets Yoshiko again five years later, both their marriages have grown very frustrating and they are instantly drawn to each other. They soon establish a heated and passionate relationship and intensely explore their connection to determine if it is love or friendship.
